FREE Tax Returns for Donations

Ok everyone. I am an accountant. Have worked in public accounting for 15 years preparing tax returns and such.

I will prepare your tax return and e-file it for FREE in exchange for a minimum TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation (you can use it next year!) of $50 to the Susan G Komen 3Day Walk for the Cure on my behalf. Please help us raise money for this terrible disease.

Please let me know if you are interested by posting a comment and email address.

First Training Walk

Ok....sooo... Had my first training walk outside at a brisk pace for about 5 miles.

I'm an avid walker in great walking shape,or so I thought. I walk on the treadmill usually everyday about 3.5-5 miles a day at about 3.8-4/mph on a 7 incline. I walk my kids to school 1 mile both ways nearly everyday it's not raining. I usually feel fine no sore legs no huffing up and down hills. But BOY OH BOY was I wrong. There must be a BIG difference in walking outside and walking on the treadmill. Because Sunday my legs were VERY sore and still sore some today!

I guess this means I really need some OUTSIDE walk training too. But today will just have to settle for the treadmill. I am just too busy to leave the house today. At least I learned this early on.

Also learned I needed to get a new pair of walking shoes to break in now. Any excuse to go shopping!

First Donations!!

Yeah!! How exciting to know that I have just received my first donations and both from such great friends!

I sent out scads of emails and Facebook notices last night in the hopes of kicking off this great fund-raising event. I know it will take some time. But I can be patient. I am not in control, God is and I know that with His help and guidance I CAN reach this goal.

When I think about what the women, who have this disease, and their families have gone through, all of the treatments, all of the surgeries, children without moms, brothers and sisters without sisters, grandmothers gone too early, it really motivates makes me want to do SOMETHING to help.

Every little bit helps and I really appreciate everyone's' efforts. Even if I help to raise just a little bit for this cause, it will have been worth it. Let's all continue to find ways to help!

My First Day!

After much thought and discussion, I have decided to join a wonderful group of girls in this 3 Day Walk for the cure.

I am a busy mom of 7-year old triplets with a non-stop schedule. When I first heard about this from a friend, I thought of every excuse as to why I couldn't do this. "My kids need me home because my husband works and travels", "I don't have time to fund raise or train", etc, etc.

However, the more I thought about it, the more I felt I needed to do this, for me, for my girls, for my friends, for all the women that have ever had to face breast cancer, in the hopes that one day no one will have to face this dreaded disease.

Please join me in fighting this disease. You can make donations at www.the3day.org Just click on "Donate to a Participant" and search for my name "Stacie Flinn" or just "Stacie". Then click on my name and donate.

I look forward to this journey in the hopes that no one will have to take the journey of fighting breast cancer again.
